Rslogix5000 Apertura Lentissima

Salve a tutti, RsLogix5000 in apertura di programma è lentissimo, nell'ordine di più di due minuti.

Premetto che sono in ambiente Win XP e che nello stesso PC sono installati sia Rockwell che Siemens.

A voi è mai successo?

a me è successo, ma su macchina virtuale, dove le risorse del PC erano molto limitate: tu come sei messo con il tuo portatile ?

E che versione di Logix stai usando ?

Anche a me su macchina virtuale è molto lento. Best solution macchina virtuale solo per le licenze !

Per quello che mi è noto comunque Allen Bradley sconsiglia di installare Siemens+AB sulla stessa macchina e devo essere sincero con questa soluzione molti meno problemi (a volte molto strani) e malfunzionamenti.

Poi molto dipende dal pc che hai a disposizione (velocità processore, quantità di ram, tipo di disco rigido e sua velocità) .

Allen Bradley stessa consiglia di utilizzare le macchine virtuali specialmente se si hanno versioni diverse di RSLogix5000 , Factory Talk View Studio etc. .

E' chiaro che a maggior ragione si deve avere un pc performante.

Other possible causes

All Rockwell Software packages start by first looking for an activation. A delay might occur during the Splash Screen when activations on mapped network drives, dongles, or disconnected drives are browsed. Disconnecting the PC from the network and launching the software as expected usually indicates this activity.

FactoryTalk Activations

There are few possible causes:

• The incorrect FactoryTalk Activation Tool may be installed.

• Example: If the same computer has both RSLogix 5000 Standard Edition and FactoryTalk View ME or SE installed, this configuration now requires the FactoryTalk Activation Manager. So if the FactoryTalk Activation Client was installed before, it will cause the delay.

  All Concurrent, Dongles and Automation Toolkit Activations require the FactoryTalk Activation Manager be installed. Check the Add/Remove programs list to see what is currently loaded.

  Download the latest FactoryTalk Activation Manager Tool.

  Mixing FactoryTalk Activations is alright as long as the correct Activation Tool is installed. Refer to AID 46109 - Reinstalling the FactoryTalk Activation Toolfor details on how to replace the FactoryTalk Activation tool.

• A Concurrent Activation was rehosted off this computer.
  
  Example:
  FactoryTalk View product was activated and the server has been installed on the host computer. The FactoryTalk View products were removed from this computer and place on a new computer. Doing what is called a Rehost of the Activation. When rehosting a Concurrent Activation a small amount of data is left behind that needs to be cleaned up.
  1. Navigate to the Activations Folder:
     C:\Program Files\Common Files\Rockwell\Activations
     
     
     C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Rockwell Automation\Activations
     The license file will generally contain the type of activation. Concurrent or Node Locked. Open the Concurrent license file with notepad to verify the contents. If the information below is the only information listed in the file, delete the file and remove from the recycle bin.

Floppy Disk Activations

Note: This only works when the FactoryTalk Activation Tool is not installed.

Users can specify a specific search path, where the activation keys reside, using the computers Environment Variables dialog.

1. From the Windows Control Panel, click the System icon.
2. Select the Advanced tab.
3. Click Environment Variables.
4. In the System Variables location, press the New button.
5. For the Variable name: type CHECKDRIVES.
6. For the Variable value: type the drive letters in which you want the Rockwell software programs to scan.
7. Some computers may need to be rebooted.
