Im308c To Intouch Communication

could anybody confirm if is possible to communicate over IM308C (S5-115)by PROFIBUS DP protocol to InTouch SCADA (PC side CP5613A2 card, SIMATIC NET 6GK1713)

Welcome to PLCForum!

I think it would be possible to link a CP5613.. to an IM308-C-DP Slave (SIEM801C.GSD) using Wonderware Siemens Simatic Net L2 FDL A2 I/O Server.

L2FDLA2 is the server application name.
S115 is the exact topic name defined in the server for the PLC.

I really apprechiate your .. You supplyed a lot of informations how to configure Wonderware IOSrv_L2FDLA2 and i am gratefull for that, but there is another problem because i dont know how to configure the PLC S5 so that will be ready for communication with intouch. Do you have any experience with this or do you know where can i get this information?

I have never linked a CP5613.. to an IM308-C-DP Slave but I just made it using CP5434DP master embedded in TI 575.. host, rather.

However the procedure to follow would be very similar... I am pretty sure you should have to use COM Profibus SW to configure the NT generating a program file X.ET2 . Next, you should export the file in a compatible format required for the configuration tool SW for the CP5613.. I have seen you would have two options of fromats, in ASCII (.pbp) and NCM(.ldb)..? In my case, with the CP5434 I had the binary( .2bf) option as weel !? Next, always using the configuration tool for CP5613, you should link (by compilation) this file with the DP configuation file of the CP5613.. editing the profibus slave address through the specified profibus configuration format statement, before the compilation. Next, you download the configuration to the CP5613..
